xmodmap -e 'remove lock = Caps_Lock' #no longer works.
The best one can do is assign it to something else,
xmodmap  -e 'keycode 66 = Tab'
as there isn't even a way to do
xmodmap  -e 'keycode 66 = NOTHING'.

Talking about what's needed is nice, actually sending the patch
upstream and getting it merged is what needs be done. But I think I've
pointed to [1] several times already, so I'll just stop repeating
myself.
