Just noticed the CPU load goes away if I start logging out of gnome session, get
a popud stating some unknown application is still running, (sensors-applet at
this point shows the CPU load went away), then cancel the logout. I get back to
Gnome session and the extra CPU load is gone.

Now sensors applet shows 37 Celsius.

Typo in original report: Laptop make is Lenovo.

Tested a few times, after logging back in the CPU load comes, doing that
canceled logout fixes it. With this workaround my laptop is not unusable.
