It seems that xvfb-run doesn't want to run without xauth: if ! which xauth >/dev/null; then error "xauth command not found" exit 3 fi The manpage also states: xvfb-run requires the xauth command to function. So I think the recommends on xbase-clients should be changed to a Depends. Kurt
