I can confirm this bug. I halve intel GMA945 and resolution 1024x600. Display turn black when KMS start. I can login (blindly) and than suspend (hotkey), after resume the screen is ok. I dont think disabling KMS is the solution, I use KMS for a long time and had this problem since the last few kernel updates 2.6.32-5-686. When I plugin VGA display in and boot, I can see the login screen on both displays with resolution 800x600. So it may be something with startup mode selection. Robert David.
