Good.

I probably failed to clearly explain what I want to do.

I am perfectly fine with having a framebuffer console, with the i915
kernel module (since I want to get accelerated Intel graphics in X),
and kernel mode setting.
It's just that I would like to have a 640x480 framebuffer console, not
a 1280x1024 one!

Are you saying that I cannot choose the screen resolution for a
framebuffer console with KMS?!?
This would look like a regression with respect to the old times of
"traditional" console, where I could get a low resolution console and
whatever higher resolution in X I liked...

Julien, could you please clarify?
