Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel
Version: 2:2.9.1-2
Severity: important

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

I have recently installed a KVM switch. When switching to another computer and back again, the xserver sometimes freezes. In this situation, switching to a console using [ctrl]+[alt]+[f1] doesn't work any more. The system neither reacts on keyboard input nor on a usb mouse any more. However, the mouse cursor does move when using the notebook touchpad (but mouse buttons don't work). The sysreq functionality is still working. I've attached a log file of the problem. It contains a segfault and the message "[mi] EQ overflowing. The server is probably stuck in an infinite loop.".

Closing due to lack of response. If you can reproduce with a recent
kernel feel free to reopen and include new logs.
