Bug#498632: nv not allowing native resolution

In the thread at
  http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=2162420&posted=1#post2162420
it seems that the closed source nvidia driver was reporting a maximum pixel clock
frequency limitation of the GPU rather than of the monitor.

So it is possible that the nv driver is doing the same thing, in which case it is correct.
However the messages in Xorg.o.log don't give that impression at all: as noted above
the message is
(II) NV(0): Not using driver mode "2048x1152" (exceeds panel dimensions) .

So both drivers could do with clearer log messages at least.

However, it does look as if it is still a panel size problem with nv rather than the
pixel clock.
