The comments by Pellegrino and Davis are describing two different things. The former is a longstanding issue with xterm using Xft (which doesn't do the same type of layout adjustment used in pango). If Xft doesn't _support_ that, then this would be a wishlist item. The latter is a new bug report. -- Thomas E.
