I am not sure which log you want, the relevant one was included, as well as repro steps? :-)

Initial mail was generated by reportbug. I have repeatedly reproduced this bug with 2.9 installed, and even found a workaround for X clients (a call to XOpenDisplay() and keeping the display open during the lifetime of the session).
