Package: xserver-xfree86
Version: 4.1.0-1
Severity: normal
File: /usr/X11R6/bin/XFree86

I have a Diamond FireGL card in an Alpha (Permedia 2). On 24 bpp,
pixmaps get corrupted, but not all pixmaps; I could only reproduce
this in some more "colorful" apps like konqueror and Netscape, but
consistently there. The corruption extends to the nearby regions on
the screen. I've put a screenshot at
ftp://rut.informatik.uni-tuebingen.de/glint.png. It works OK in 16
bit.

Some experiments with the options:

1 "XaaNoImageWriteRect"
2 "XaaNoOffscreenPixmaps"
3 "XaaNoPixmapCache"
4 "XaaNoScanlineImageWriteRect"
5 "XaaNoScreenToScreenCopy"

1: corruption
2: a bit less corruption
3: corruption
4: corruption
5: helps, but makes everything way slow

1+2: corruption
2+3: helps

	Falk
