Bug#495483: Same crash here

I am having the same problem with Google Earth crashing my X Server. Tested different GE versions with no difference.

Hardware is Thinkpad T61p with nVidia Quadro FX 570M, running Debian Lenny with custom-built 2.6.27-rc5 kernel and nVidia drivers 177.70.

Is there any workaround? I really need Google Earth on that machine and would not like to reboot to Vista everytime...
