Yes, but what you wrote doesn't tell me anything, so I tried to look
further because I don't understand your report.  It sounded like
fc-match -v helvetica matched some file from xfonts-100dpi, but you
didn't say which, so I tried to look, and it doesn't here.

Not seeing this at all here.  Might be dependant on fontconfig
configuration, but you didn't give any info about that, so...
