Bug#480883: dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg stops after keyboard definitions

When I try "dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg" the configuration for various keyboard
options is executed, then the reconfiguration stops. The monitor, mouse and video
card are never considered, and those areas in the /etc/X11/xorg.conf are left 
empty.
