Please consider reopening this bug: I'm still getting a flickering
screen on my Dell Latitude D420 (no framebuffer on console).

Tell me if you need more info or if I've to try something (same
behaviour occurs if I try git xf86-video-intel-2.2-branch ).

Both of you guys requested this bug to be reopened. But the bug
submitter said the problem was fixed. So you are not experiencing the
same problem, maybe because your hardware is different.

You might want to try
    Option "FramebufferCompression" "false"
and look at the following upstream bugs that may be related
    https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11239
    https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13326
    https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13418
If you don't find anybody with your exact problem there, feel free to
open a new bug report (http://bugzilla.freedesktop.org, product xorg,
component Driver/Intel), attach xorg.conf and Xorg.0.log, and tell them
which driver version you are using and when the problem appeared.

I downloaded and compiled two previous git snapshot versions (from pkg-xorg/driver/xserver-xorg-video-intel.git).
xserver-xorg-video-intel-2_2.2.0.90-1 doesn't show any screen flickering
but it occurs with xserver-xorg-video-intel-2_2.2.0.90-2.
Looks as it's caused by a change between these two versions!
The green flickering occurs mainly when viewing pictures.

Concerning the Option "FramebufferCompression" "false": according to Xorg.0.log
(WW) intel(0): Allocation error, framebuffer compression disabled.
