I removed the synaptics input device from my xorg.conf file, 
as this laptop doesn't have one.

I also tried from here, once more, to go to a normal testing installation,
and found out that I actually can ssh into the laptop.

top shows that Xorg consumes 99.5 % CPU time,
and I can kill it.

I go back to the 1.2 solution.
