Package: xfonts-cyrillic
Version: 1:1.0.0-4
Severity: important

When attempting to install xfonts-cyrillic, the error message

warning: /usr/lib/X11/fonts/cyrillic does not exist or is not a directory

is displayed, and applications such as OpenOffice (or xfontsel) do not pick up the new font even after restarting X.

The package installs to /usr/share/fonts/X11, instead of /usr/lib/X11/fonts.

No, /usr/share/fonts/X11/ is the right place.  Maybe you need to add
/usr/share/fonts/X11/cyrillic to your font path?
Try 'xset fp+ /usr/share/fonts/X11/cyrillic'.  I'm closing the bug, feel
free to reply and reopen if you disagree.
