Bug#430112: xserver-xorg-video-mga: locks up when displaying 320x240 mode



Thanks for this detailled report. I have forwarded it to the upstream
bugzilla at the URL above. Feel free to add comments there if somebody
replies.

In the meantime, it would be good if you could actually test the patch.
You should be able to get the required dependencies by typing:
    apt-get build-dep xserver-xorg-video-mga

Thanks for letting me know about "build-dep". I have now tested the
driver with my patch and can confirm that it fixes the problem. I have
attached the X log file showing the minimum pixel clock set to 16MHz.
