Package: x11-common
Version: 1:7.1.0-7
Severity: normal
for some reason the file 99xsession-starup or so has vanished during some upgrade.
as i don't kill my xsession on a regular basis i can't name when it vanished.
it results in *dm breaking on login. it doesn't show up in the log, it's hard to debug.
gdm finaly gave me something into ~/.xsession-errors leading me to that point.
