Package: xserver-xfree86
Version: 4.0.2-2
Severity: normal

When using the S3 Trio3D (S3Virge driver), lines of fonts disappear from xterm,
GNU Emacs, and various other programs.

Constantly refreshing the display (Ctl-L in xterm or GNU Emacs, or swapping Virtual
Workspaces with other programs) causes different lines to disappear on each refresh.

Occasionally lines partially display. An example can be seen at:

http://everets.org/kevin/corrupt.png

A workaround is to add:

        Option "XaaNoSolidFillRect"

to the "Device" section of XF86Config-4, but this slows rendering down noticably.

Ok, thanks.

I am closing this bug then, since the submitter's address is invalid
nowadays, and you don't have the hardware to try to reproduce anymore.
