- Subject: [mga] DRI + matroxfb interaction

Package: xserver-xfree86
Version: 4.0.3-3
Severity: minor
If the matroxfb driver is used (1024*768/100Hz, nice 128*48 text console)
and the X server (1152*864/100Hz) is running with DRI enabled, the text
console sometimes gets corrupted when something is written to it. It is
not fatal - switching to another virtual console and back to the one that
was corrupted fixes it. Happens with both G200 (8MB) and G400 (32MB dual
head, but only the first one used) cards, AGP 1x and 2x, 2.2.19 and 2.4.4
kernels, BIOSTAR M6TBA and ASUS CUBX motherboards (both 440BX chipset).
I can send more details (XF86Config file etc.) on request, please ask.
I've been using matroxfb and X (3.3.6 and 4.0.x) with these Matrox cards
for quite a long time now, no problems at all if DRI not enabled.
Thanks,
Marek
