That's sort of what I'm thinking. I'm also considering telling people in
NEWS.Debian (and maybe the etch release notes) to remove the font path
lines from their xorg.confs and let the server work its magic. We could
also do this for them, since we're already doing all sorts of fun sed stuff
for these right now as it is.
