Re: etch: x11-common conflicts xv?

Ok, I see your point. But I don't think that this xv package will be
soon upgraded, so why not forget it forever, and let those suckers,
like me bother with old packages?

Anyway, I've did the upgrade from xfree to x.org yesterday, and these
packages left binaries in /usr/X11R6/bin, that had to be moved
manually:
* gv 3.5.8-30.2
* rdesktop 1.3.1-1.1
* xprt - actually it got removed by apt-get, but too late, the
installation of x11-common has been failed
* opera 8.50-20050916.6 - I know, it's third party stuff, but so is xv also

You could file a conflict agains these also.

Thanks,
Attila

Hi,

x11-common can't be installed together with other packages containing
files under /usr/X11R6/bin, which was the case for xv.
