Bug#369109: xserver-xorg-video-ati: cannot display at 1024x768 on powerbook g4 titanium with 1280x854 LCD

Sorry, but I don't know exactly what kind of connection I use: I have a
powerbook with a DVI port, an Apple DVI to VGA converter, an external LCD
monitor with a VGA cable.

Is this sufficient to understand if this is digital or analogue? How may I
better check it?
