If your locale is a UTF-8 one (as I would guess from the fi_FI.utf8 in the summary), luit is supposed to step out of the way. However, the path for luit did change sometime last your - that may be a factor. I see it in /usr/bin/X11/luit - perhaps it's hung trying to reference a nonexistent program.
