Well, as I see it, they all do the same thing, but in a different way.
All of them try to configure X automatically at boot time, the as good
as they are able to.

My proposal is to get them to do it the same way, making sure the
automatic configuration at boot time get as good as possible by making
sure everyone with this need contribute to a common code base.
