After change my X system fron XFree86 to the new debian Xorg several packages where uninstalled because dependencies: - xchm - xine-ui - xpp I foun the common cause for uninstall these packages is: -- libglu1 This could be interesting: Package libglu1-xorg has broken dep on libglu1 Considering xlibmesa-glu 1 as a solution to libglu1-xorg 7 I have installed libglu1-xorg but does not provide libglu1: Package: libglu1-xorg Priority: optional Section: libs Installed-Size: 808 Maintainer: Debian X Strike Force <debian-x@lists.debian.org> Architecture: i386 Source: xorg-x11 Version: 6.8.2.dfsg.1-2 Replaces: libglu1c2, libglu1, libutahglx1, mesag3 (<< 5.0.0-1), xlibmesa3 (<< 4.2.1-5), xlibmesa3-glu, xlibmesa-glu Provides: libglu1c2 Depends: libc6 (>= 2.3.2.ds1-21), libgcc1 (>= 1:4.0.0-9), libstdc++6 (>= 4.0.1), libxext6 | xlibs (>> 4.1.0), xlibmesa-gl | libgl1 Conflicts: libglu1c2, libglu1, libutahglx1, mesag3 (<< 5.0.0-1), xlibmesa3 (<< 4.2.1-5), xlibmesa3-glu, xlibmesa-glu Filename: pool/main/x/xorg-x11/libglu1-xorg_6.8.2.dfsg.1-2_i386.deb Maybe if the package provides libglu1 the rest of packages i mention before could be installed??? I'm not sure about against what package fill the bug report (libglu1-xorg, libxine1, xlibmesa-glu or libglu1-mesa) so if i'm reporting in the wrong place pls point me in the rigth direction.
