Package: xserver-xfree86
Version: 4.1.0-14
Severity: important

On boot-up, xfree86 seems to enter some sort of low-res mode with
graphics corruption, instead of the 1280x1024 I use. Ctrl-Alt-F1
followed by Alt-F7 (drop to console then reenter X) fixes the
problem. Actually, the monitor seems to switch mode twice (two
click-noises instead of usual one).
Strangely, it works correctly one in, say, 10-20 times.

I run SVGATextMode to get a 160x60 text mode (race condition?)
