even with this change, the settings are incorrect.  The "*" is unnecessarily
general, will conflict with other settings (and sometimes work, sometimes not).

Something like

  XTerm.font:             9x15
  XTerm.VT100.geometry:   80x24+0-0

is probably what was intended.
