I wonder if filing a bug report against the offending MUA would be
more efficient?  In this case, the headers say

   X-Enigmail-Version: 0.86.1.0

and

   $ apt-cache search enigmail
   mozilla-thunderbird-enigmail - Enigmail - GPG support for Mozilla Thunderbird

so we might be seeing more of these if mozilla isn't fixed.
