I'm not sure I made myself clear; I'm saying the proposed fix isn't right either, not because it doesn't fix KDE (which I would have expected, actually), but because it would force a certain modifier to be bound to <LWIN> even for people who wanted a different modifier bound to that key. I have mailed Ivan Pascal, a well-known XKB guru, and pleaded with him for assistance. So far he hasn't replied yet, but I'm hopeful. -- G.
