Bug#254632: xterm update results in worse thread view in mutt running inside a GNU screen

I see - rather old (4 years). I compared that termcap to the most recent one,
saw no applicable differences.

Compiled a copy of screen with termcap and curses on a NetBSD
1.6, but for each case I don't have a problem with line-drawing.

Some differences to check:

I have only a telnet connection (this is the HP testdrive machine), so
it is possible that there is some issue with ssh.

Are you running screen on the NetBSD 1.5 after ssh'ing to it?
I did that (telnet and then run screen).

Is screen linked with termcap or curses? screen prefers the curses
library (though that shouldn't make much difference).

Normally (using only the information in the termcap), once line-drawing
has been done in the given window, it'll be initialized as it was before
the bug-fix. From the information so far, I'm not sure whether it's
not getting the initialization string, or if something is using direct
escape sequences to turn the graphcs set off.
