Bug#254526: xfree86: default-display-manager should instead be got from a file inside /etc/default/

Package: xfree86
Severity: normal

I was trying to disable *dm completely (since X was crashing my system
hard) but was unable to find the "default display manager" setting. I
eventually found the file in /etc/X11, but wouldn't it make more sense
for it to be in a config file inside /etc/default/xdm, like the rest of
init's defaults seem to be?
