Bug#250629: xlibs: AltGr stopped working

these are the key events in my bottom row, i deleted the release events. this is
typed on a thinkpad t20, so no windows keys.

KeyPress event, serial 28, synthetic NO, window 0x1e00001,
    root 0x40, subw 0x1e00002, time 398712, (48,43), root:(78,126),
    state 0x4, keycode 37 (keysym 0xffe3, Control_L), same_screen YES,
    XLookupString gives 0 bytes: ""

KeyPress event, serial 28, synthetic NO, window 0x1e00001,
    root 0x40, subw 0x1e00002, time 403173, (48,43), root:(78,126),
    state 0x0, keycode 64 (keysym 0xffe9, Alt_L), same_screen YES,
    XLookupString gives 0 bytes: ""

KeyPress event, serial 28, synthetic NO, window 0x1e00001,
    root 0x40, subw 0x1e00002, time 403982, (48,43), root:(78,126),
    state 0x0, keycode 65 (keysym 0x20, space), same_screen YES,
    XLookupString gives 1 bytes: " "

KeyPress event, serial 28, synthetic NO, window 0x1e00001,
    root 0x40, subw 0x1e00002, time 411290, (48,43), root:(78,126),
    state 0x0, keycode 113 (keysym 0xffea, Alt_R), same_screen YES,
    XLookupString gives 0 bytes: ""

KeyPress event, serial 28, synthetic NO, window 0x1e00001,
    root 0x40, subw 0x1e00002, time 413056, (48,43), root:(78,126),
    state 0x0, keycode 109 (keysym 0xffe4, Control_R), same_screen YES,
    XLookupString gives 0 bytes: ""

instead of ISO_Level3_Shift i see Alt_R

i'm running gnome 2.4, but how do i know if i run the gnome keyboard
configuration? when i start x without any window manager, xev also reports

KeyPress event, serial 28, synthetic NO, window 0x1e00001,
    root 0x40, subw 0x1e00002, time 411290, (48,43), root:(78,126),
    state 0x0, keycode 113 (keysym 0xffea, Alt_R), same_screen YES,
    XLookupString gives 0 bytes: ""

and AltGr does not work.

Regards
Klaus
