Well, that's just a workaround, though I'm very glad to know that one exists. Do you have the xlibmesa-dri package installed as well? If so, could you try removing that, but reinstalling xscreensaver-gl? I'm trying to determine if the crash is actually in the Mesa DRI module for your video chipset. -- G.
