Ok, I'll attach a screenshot now, to clarify this. The attached screenshot was taken from a line of /usr/X11R6/bin/xterm -fa "andale mono" -fs 10 The displayed font is in no way Andale Mono (the digit '0' in Andale Mono has a small dot in the middle). I have to clarify that the horizontal spacing seems to be correct, but the vertical spacing seems to be too large in comparison to the letters. In this way I need to give "-fs 10" in order to get the same amount of lines into an xterm with the same physical geometry and the '-misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--18-120-100-100-c-90-iso10646-1' font.
