It fails running xftcache with two warnings about 'invalid edit
binding "same"' with line numbers which appear to correspond to things
like this in /etc/fonts/fonts.conf

    <edit name="family" mode="prepend" binding="same">
        <string>Times New Roman</string>
    </edit>
