Another one: parse error reading X server string `intelfb'

Hi,

I've just downloaded a lot of stuff from Debian testing (using also the debian-installer) onto my new Dell Dimension 4600 computer. Everything went fine, except X won't start. XFree86.0.log says at the end:
(EE) No devices detected.
Fatal server error:
no screens found

dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86 says (twice):
parse error reading X server string `intelfb'

Main board has (integrated) Intel 82865G Graphics Controller. Debconf probed this and assigned driver "apm" in XFConfig-4; I've also tried "i810", same (EE) message. Removed, then reinstalled xserver-xfree86 from scratch, no change.

I'm stumped, any ideas?

Regards,
