Ok, I built it and it works _great_. I even got it running in dual head
mode with xinerama (running in single head mode when no crt is
connected, and running in clone mode when crt is connected after x
starts up). Movies play fine now (even on both heads).
I put the binaries up on http://leitner.dhs.org/xfree/ . Feel free to
grab them there and add it to your repository.
