[harri@synopsys.COM: gdm and kdm can't start X]

Not sure what the problem is here; I don't know what would make the X
server become a zombie process.

Hi Branden

After the last update of XFree 4.0.1 gdm and kdm stopped working.
The XServer doesn't come up. 'ps -ef' shows me '[ X <defunct> ]'.

Is this an installation problem?

Regards

Harri
