1. He recently moved to a new city, and started a new job. He hasn't been
reading email since he moved, and has 4000 emails queued up.

2. X is not small. It takes longer than 5s to compile.

3. There are lots of new features, new ways of doing things. Not to mention
new libraries that have been included from outside sources. It takes time
to decide where to place them.

4. There are major changes in this new version, and he wants to get things
done right first, instead of having to deal with hackish implementations of
   the packing for years.

5. He is barraged with mindless chatter about debs not existing BEFORE x is
released(not even mentioning after) and spends too much time dealing with
   the useless mail.

6. Potato is frozen, and not released. Efforts are better spent there then on
woody. Maintaining 2 source trees is not fun, and X just makes that less
   so.

7. There are only 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365.242198781 days a year.
