Debian Linux was chosen because it is completely configurable, stable, and easily updated. Besides the LAN, Debian Linux also allowed us to establish a secure WAN which enables us to work from home as needed. All of our software is open source and includes LibreOffice, LibreOffice Base, Scribus, Gimp, KdenLive and Audacity. We have five computers.
