I have managed to get something going and pushed a branch called
localize_universal to the git repository. To me this works just fine
when building locally, but I would gladly have somebody test it before
pushing "live". I might have missed some files that this solution
requires. If it works, this takes care of translating "the universal
operating system" on the swedish translation to the Swedish "Det
universella operativsystemet".
It simply overrides the #splash css class for the Swedish translation,
and uses a translated png which I have uploaded to swedish/Pics in my
branch. (With the necessary Makefile). Notice that also this image is
copied to www/Pics/ when building where the images for all languages
ends up, so you cannot have file names that clash with file names from
other languages.
Please take a look at it, and if it looks fine, I'll push it to master.
But, as you have noticed, this requires to have an image for each
language, which of course isn't really optimal. It would amazing if
someone (with more css knowledge than me) would put some css magic, so
we could have the string easily translatable in a po or something like
that.
