Bug#862515: www.debian.org: expired key archive.debian.org for debian lenny
Hi again
Yes, sorry for my first response, later I've been told that it
wouldn't work :(
I haven't got a lenny box here, but this is what I've tried now,
playing with my apt sources (without effectively installing packages):
1.- For fixing the NOPUBKEY error, you need to retrieve and import the
Lenny key:
gpg --keyserver pgp.mit.edu --recv-keys AED4B06F473041FA
gpg --armor --export AED4B06F473041FA | sudo apt-key add -
2.- Then, I've edited /etc/apt/sources.list and added the lenny repo
allowing it being not authenticated:
deb http://archive.debian.org/debian/ lenny allow-insecure=yes main
3.- Then
sudo apt-get --allow-unauthenticated upgrade
sudo apt-get -o Acquire::Check-Valid-Until=false update
the output still gives warnings but maybe they are only warnings and
you can install packages?
If not, I would try to get help from our user support channels
(https://www.debian.org/support) in order to manually download and
install the packages that you need (if they are not much of them).
I will not reopen this bug, because as I said lenny is archived and it
won't change, probably, and also, archive.debian.org it's not
maintained by the website team currently... If you reopen the bug I
would suggest to reassign to "apt" package, for the case there is an
option that we both are overlooking; but IMO this is more a question
for user support.
Best regards
