It appears that the XML files for the OVAL definitions could not be
generated any more. (this is now fixed)

The OVAL definitions are generated by security/oval/generate.py . The
Python file contains a list of releases and version numbers.
This file did not include buster, but it was updated to include it by
Salvatore Bonaccorso (revision 1.5 committed 2017-06-18 13:38:29
+0200). It appears that before the change generation at the website
was broken.
However, now the definitions are available
(https://www.debian.org/security/oval/) so I assume this is fixed.
By the way, in the logs and testing in my system I noticed that the
script was downloading a 20MB file for every XML file being generated.
I have tweaked the Makefile to try to prevent doing that...

Javier
