Last time I’ve seen a discussion about this service, there was quite some push back from project members (and it was only on DebConf-Team, not sure the subject has even been raised on debian-project). I disagree that it would be a good thing if Debian publicly endorsed such a service. As already pointed by a previous DPL, Debian sets an example in the FOSS world, and given the concerns about this service, such addition shouldn’t be taken lightly (or even at all). Regards David P.-S.: Just to be clear, the concern is about a direct link from the official Debian website. What the TOs do is there business, at least as long as there is no condition about it from Debian.
