Hi Larry, and thanks for your interest in improving the debian.org
website.

I put together a patch for webwml, with infos copied from the #!
"about" page you referred to earlier. If the debian-www team would
approve it, it will be present on the d.o/misc/children-distros page.

The paragraph contains a note referring to wiki.d.o page for
CrunchBang, which will need to be created and completed with
information about the distribution. Please do so, as you don't need any
special membership for that, being a wiki.

Both -www and CrunchBang teams: feel free to modify the patch as you
wish, before committing it into the CVS tree.

Cc'ed Philip too on this one, as I don't know if he subscribed
meanwhile.

Cheers,

+
<a href="http://crunchbang.org/";>CrunchBang is a Debian GNU/Linux
+based distribution offering a great blend of speed, style and substance.
+Using the nimble Openbox window manager, it is highly customisable and provides
+a modern, full-featured GNU/Linux system without sacrificing performance.
+

+The primary aim of the CrunchBang project is to produce a stable distribution
+offering the best possible out-of-the-box Openbox experience. To achieve this
+goal, CrunchBang pulls many base packages directly from Debian's repositories,
+which are well-known for providing stable and secure software. Packages from
+CrunchBang's own repositories are then customised and pinned to the system to
+produce what is known as the CrunchBang distro.
+

+Put simply; CrunchBang could be thought of as a layer built on top of Debian,
+specifically to provide a great Openbox experience.
