Re: Debian CD Vendors information on the official site is outdated

Here is a list of listed Indian vendors who no longer ship the latest
version of Debian:

1) LINUXjunkies Foundation ( http://linuxjunkies.org/cds.php )

Their website lists Debian 3 and no later version. They have also
provided a notice in the page that they are out of stock and that
they can not process any more requests.

2) RoseIndia.net

Their website also lists only Debian 3. There are no instructions as
to how to obtain a CD even if they do ship latest Debian CDs.

3) san system (https://sites.google.com/site/linux4ugroup/price-list

The website lists Debian 5 and no later version.

Dear Rohit,

I'm sorry, but it seems we have not answered to this request. The Debian web
team makes an effor to keep the vendor list updated, but even though we can
run some automated tests to check if the websites of the vendors are still up
and running we cannot review all the vendors and ensure that they provide the
latest Debian versions.

Some vendor sites are not even published in English, which makes it more
difficult for us to review their contents.

That being said, you can help us by reporting specifically which vendors are
*not* shipping the latest Debian versions in your country so that we may
contact them and ask for more information. Those vendors that do not answer
or are no longer offering the service will get unlisted.

In any case, upon review, I have just manually unlisted some Indian vendors
from the list for the reasons you state above. We will contact them to see if
they are going to ship newer Debian versions.

In the future, please let us know which specific vendors should we review.
This will help us process the request faster.

Regards

Javier Fernandez-Sanguino
