I think, the plurial is not neccesary.

Right, which I have done from several laptops without CD-Rom

Not realy, I am running a development Environement called "DJGPP"
<http://www.delorie.com/djgpp> and several other peoples too.

So "DOS" should be changed to:

    You can do the installation directly from CD, DVD, DOS, Windows,
    floppies, USB-Keys, memory cards or even over the network.
