You can check the integrity using the md5sum.md5 file which is
available in the image:
cd /cdrom
md5sum -c md5sum.txt
When you want to keep your images up-to-date use jigdo-lite which
checks the checksums and doesn't fetch files you already downloaded
(from old images).
