Hi Folks, I wanna start to translate debian hompage to arabic, I have just installed emacs succefully to show Arabic characters it works very fine the problem is when I write html code and arabic charachter I just see ununderstandable charachters in the browser. The Page source looks as follow: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <html lang="ar"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;charset=windows-1256"> </head> <title>test Homepage</title> <body> ªªè€ªè€ªè€èªèªèª </body> </html> anyone has an idea or experience with similiar problem to solve my problem??
